ROCKIES ARE A GENUINE TREASURE
This Horse is a needle in a haystack! He is a rare Mountain Horse Gelding, who is IN TRAINING to be safe and gentle working with kids while also being capable of scooting down the trail at a slow walk or a faster gait/canter.
DID YOU KNOW: The  Rocky Mountain horse is a very rare breed and is currently recovering from the Livestock conservatory Threatened list along with Mountain pleasure and KMSHA horses.

 Foal date:  01/01/2019
Color: Blue Roan/ Black Roan (no silver)
Height: 15HH
Vet: Up to date on all vaccinations, de-worming, sheath cleaning, dental float assessment, current coggins, and fresh trim. No other health concerns.
Pedigree: This horse does not have papers. We call him a ROCKY because it was stated he was bred from a prolific rocky mountain breeder in Kentucky. Likely sold with a breeders certificate and it was lost.

Branded with our signature R  on his left shoulder
Conformation
This is the kind of horse that is physically built for work. He has all the physical attributes of a Rocky! He does not have a fault conformationally that we can see. He is extremely balanced head to toe. He is built and capable of being a hardy and handy ranch horse or just one to haul you up many, many mountains! He can do the work of a quarter horse without the trot! He is very stocky with thick, sound, durable legs/hooves and a perfect height!  He is downright cute with a pleasant expression.
Temperament
This guy is sweet and totally interactive with his human. He loves to be enriched with a job. When its time to be groomed or just hang out he is a true companion! He is a laid back guy that prefers laziness and does well with an assertive rider just because he would likely stop and eat grass and never leave if allowed! He doesn't scoot or bolt and does a very square 4 beat gait! His canter is very floaty and correct!
Riding
Walk loose rein, gait, smooth canter. Rome enjoys the trails and open spaces. He hauls out to events and enjoys the enrichment- handles banners, dogs and applause. He stalls well and over nights well. Great stop, back and he does a great side pass. He high lines well. Saddles and bridles easily.  Picks up feet and receives vaccines etc easily. Rides well in a snaffle or a halter. he will direct rein/ neck rein/ pivot. Stands well to mount.

Gaits
He exhibits a perfectly square style of moving with a tad of lift! Should be a head turner!
Management
This is the type of horse you can put away for months and return to as the same horse you left! A comfortable horse in all environments (with mares or geldings)- because he is an easy keeper and is used to feedings of first crop timothy/orchardgrass hay that is netted. He will also graze during the summer months.
He fits in the middle of the herd and gets along well with others! He has a puppy-dog personality and is easy to catch.
