Doja is a remarkable mare! She rides around in the palm of your hand and is as gentle as a puppy dog! Doja is a stout & correctly made mare that excels down the trails. She is strong enough for an average adult but gentle for an advanced beginner child. Her skills as a gaited horse are unmatched, she picks up her canter leads, gaits flawlessly, walks on a loose rein, moves the shoulders/hind/sidepasses/backs all with ease. Doja will perform a medium/slow saddle rack that has equally timed 4 beats with very little swing/movement for those with lower back pain when riding.
Doja stands to mount as well as dismount. She picks up all her hooves with ease and stands perfectly still for the farrier! Doja has been ridden all over- she will pack any type of equipment including panniers. She rides any type of terrain and loves the obstacles! When Doja not being a trail horse, she’s an amazing companion and loves attention/brushing. If you’re searching for a best friend, Doja is your gal! She has been around all aspects of livestock as well as ATV lawn mowers and side-by-sides; she isn’t bothered! I know that the sire was THE MAIN Texas stallion in the state during his lifetime (passed away in his 20s)- Owners rode him quite a bit in expos and shows! We have had several of his get in training and they were really nice horses. Other folks also love their get!
Dam is a gentle, super wide foundation type mare; she's cherished for her superior offspring.
